Vowels: Standard - 'e' as in ‘pet’, 'i' as in 'pin', 'a' as in ‘path’, 'ə' as in ‘the’, 'u' as in 'should'. Variation - 'a' is followed by a 'w' is 'aou' dipthong as in 'owl'. Variation - when ‘i’ follows a ‘w’ and is followed by a ‘r’, ‘rn’ or ‘rt’ but not ‘rr’, the ‘i’ is rounded off like ‘tu’ in French. (top of the tongue touches the back of the palate).
Consonant - 'ty' (palatal stop) - combine 't' and 'y' while tip and blade of tongue touches hard palate and stops the breath. (Note: 'tch' is close but different to 'ty'.), - 'ny' (palato-nasal) combine 'n' and 'y' while top of tongue touches hard palate plus nasal vibration. (Avoid the English 'nee' as in 'many'.) - 'rr' roll or trill tongue.
